Terms of Use
We love seeing our designs come to life in your handmade creations. To keep things fair and transparent, we’ve outlined how our digital files can and can’t be used.
By purchasing or downloading our digital files, you agree to the following terms:
Permitted Uses
- Personal & Small-Scale Commercial Use: You may use our digital files to create handmade, physical items for yourself or for small-scale sales.
- What Counts as Small-Scale Sales? Handmade items featuring our designs may be sold through:
- Etsy, social media, personal websites, or similar online shops
- Local craft fairs and markets
- Small in-person sales (e.g., pop-up shops, school fundraisers, etc.)
- Sales Limit: Small-scale is defined as selling up to 100 finished items per year. If you anticipate exceeding this limit, please reach out for extended licensing options.
Not Permitted
- No Digital Distribution: You may not share, sell, or redistribute our digital files in any form—whether modified or unmodified. This includes selling or giving away the file itself, or any elements derived from it.
- No Print-on-Demand (POD) or Mass Production: Our designs may not be uploaded to print-on-demand services (e.g., Printify, Redbubble, Zazzle) or any platform where items are mass-produced, whether automated or outsourced.
- No Selling Pre-Cut Pieces or Kits: You may not sell cut layers, die-cut pieces, or pre-cut kits made from our templates. The final product must be fully assembled and sold as a finished, handmade item.
- No Third-Party Manufacturing: All products made using our designs must be physically made by you. You may not outsource production, hire others to create items on your behalf, or use automated manufacturing.
- No Selling as Templates or Reproducible Forms: You may not use our designs to create and sell templates, molds, stencils, or any other item intended for other crafters to reproduce the design. This includes, but is not limited to, silicone molds, embroidery files, or SVGs based on our work.
Extended Licenses
If you need more flexibility (e.g., using designs in a larger business, creating products beyond handmade items, or other unique cases), reach out to discuss an extended commercial license.
Violation of Terms
Failure to comply with these terms may result in action, including but not limited to: reporting the violation to the platform where the sale or distribution occurs, issuing a formal report to cease unauthorized use, and pursuing legal action if necessary.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I sell the physical items I make with your templates?
▶
Yes! As long as each item is handmade by you, you are free to sell your creations.
Can I modify the design and sell my version?
▶
Yes, but only if you are still creating a handmade, physical item. You cannot modify the digital file and resell it, or use it to create products via print-on-demand services.
Can I sell kits or pre-cut pieces made from your templates?
▶
No. You cannot cut and sell the separate layers or pieces of our templates, even if the buyer will assemble them. The finished item must be completely handmade and sold as a final product.
Can I use your designs for print-on-demand services like Redbubble, Printify, or Zazzle?
▶
No, our designs are strictly for handmade products only. Uploading them to print-on-demand services is a violation of our terms.
Can I sell handmade items/cards using your files at craft fairs?
▶
Yes! Selling your handmade items at craft fairs, markets, and similar small-scale events is absolutely allowed—I love to see it!
Can I share the file with my friend or craft group?
▶
No, each purchase is for one user only. If others want to use the file, they must purchase their own copy. But please feel free to share our Etsy shop with your craft group—we’d love to have them check out our designs!
I run a small business and want to use your designs beyond handmade items. Do you offer extended commercial licenses?
▶
Possibly! Contact us with details about your intended use, and we’ll discuss options for an extended license.
What happens if I violate the terms?
▶
We take copyright and intellectual property protection seriously and actively monitor for violations. If you violate our terms, we may report the violation and/or take legal action if necessary.
